When constructing a building, a strong foundation must be laid first to support the weight of the rest of the structure. We too need a firm foundation on which to build our lives. There’s only One who can provide that stable, solid Rock we need—Jesus Christ. He alone can hold us steady through every evil attack and storm of life.
If Jesus is your firm foundation, the winds may blow and the rains may pour, but in Him, your life will stand secure. As your Savior, Lord, and Friend, Jesus will establish you to the end (1 Corinthians 1:8). He will lift every load—bear every burden. No matter the challenge, know this, with the Lord’s help, they will stand and receive his approval (Romans 14:4 NLT).
Be like the wise man who built his house upon the Rock. Before the winds blow, draw closer to Jesus. Before the rains come, dig deeper into God’s Word. Ground yourself securely on the knowledge of God’s love, and let Jesus be your firm foundation
…You have forsaken the love you had at first. Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first… –Revelation 2:4-5 NIV
Why do we care about our family and friends? Because we love them. That is how God feels about you. He forgives your sins. He sent Jesus, His one and only Son, so you can have eternal life. He is concerned for you and knows every hair on your head. It is hard to understand how much He loves you.
Romans 8:38 (NLT) says, And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.
No matter what circumstances you face, God knows every detail. He is aware of the deepest needs in your heart. When your life becomes overwhelming, just cling to His words. Psalm 32:8 says, I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.
Remember, God’s love has nothing to do with what you have done for Him, but what He has done for you. Trust in that love
These daily Bayside Community devotionals hit the spot in my Soul and Mind. We as people live to breath and breath to live. The Lord gave us life. Endless life. To learn from our mistakes and become a little wiser from each situation we face daily. I was reading a motivational book that really helped me set my mind to rest. Believers and non-believers see God move all around us. More at different times than others. The times we do not feel Gods presents we are to draw ourselves closer to him. It does not mean he is not there. It does not mean our faith is fading. Don’t fear what we can not see. Just carry the Faith that he is there, all around us at all times. The Money moments take our breath away, they are amazing. As God moves around and through us, Yes it’s amazing! But we may go week’s or months and not see or feel his presents. I remember feeling Gods focus on my life as a young child but could not pin point what it was. I did not know the relationship I was going to have with him once I grew into a young man. I now see the past I went through directs my future. I live in the present filled with Gods love. It’s great to know my past is behind me, yet it is who I am today. I embrace my journey instead of running from it.
A major focus point for change is to let go of the mental torture we put ourselves through and just let it go. Lay it down at the feet of something much higher than you. Don’t be ashamed at looking, seeking or asking question’s. We don’t have the answers that we don’t know. Until we ask and seek the direction we should be on. We can be following a vision or a dream that is taking us so far away from the path we need to be on do to us following our own understanding. Leaning on our own minds.
Smile, your on a camera 🎥 everyday. If it’s the camera of the eyes around you. Or the neighbor that follows your every move. Is it your children that’ll follow you to the grave? Your friends around you that look to you for guidance weekly. The camera’s are on us.
Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes. –Matthew 6:34 MSG
Your Daily Bread
Have you thought about how God gave the Israelites their daily bread, the manna in the wilderness? In Exodus 16, He instructed them to take only a daily allotment. If they took more it would rot.
As in the Lord’s Prayer, you ask, “Give us this day our daily bread.” The Word tells you not to worry about yesterday or tomorrow, today has enough for us to concern ourselves with. Are you living today like there is no yesterday or tomorrow? Enjoy your life with family and friends daily. None of us know how long we are on this earth.
The twenty-four hours that are in a day are yours to enjoy with the Holy Spirit. He is your Guide to this life. As you enjoy your daily adventure, let God show you what one day at a time means. Seek Him daily in His Word and pray for wisdom and understanding. God wants you to grow and know what’s available to you from Him. God created you for a purpose. Your personal relationship with your Lord is a daily walk and the Word is your daily bread
