Praise the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens. Praise him for his acts of power; praise him for his surpassing greatness. -Psalm 150: 1-2 NIV

How Did God Speak to You This Week?

For the past six days you’ve made Christ even more of a focus in your life. He doesn’t say that you have to fast but when you do He will take you to a deeper place. He will make things clear that were once murky. (Acts 14:23) Your prayers will be more powerful, (Ezra 8:21) and your spiritual armor less penetrable. (Luke 4:1-11)
But God doesn’t intend fasting to be only for a season. He wants you to make it a lifestyle. Some people fast once per week or a few days per month. Or maybe a great first step would be to commit to spending time with God each day. Your revolution doesn’t stop today. We’ve designed Revolution as a 365-day devotional with tools that help you grow deeper with God each day.
Take the day to praise God for what He has done through this week of fasting and praying. Psalm 150 says to praise the Lord. Praise him for all He has done; praise him loudly, praise him with enthusiasm, praise him with “loud clashing cymbals!”
Maybe you don’t have any cymbals handy but God wants you to recognize what He’s done in your life. Romans 11:36 says, “For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.” When we praise, God moves!
Your Revolution

Commit to reading and praying as the first act of your day every day. Take time to fast regularly—however God would lead you. Your revolution doesn’t end today. It’s only beginning.
